The Comex Technology Show is a three-day annual hybrid event held by Oman in the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre showcasing advancements in technology. Being a leading telecommunications provider, Vodafone made its debut as a sponsor and a participant in the 31st edition of the Comex Technology show held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
Together with Ortmor, Vodafone crafted a visual feast combining six innovative technologies into six intriguing displays to help people get closer to the technology of tomorrow. The vision behind this event was to help people embrace future technologies, and the six futuristic rooms played their part impeccably by connecting with the audience and capturing their hearts.

The unity of people and technology can do wonders we never imagined possible. After an extensive brainstorming session with Vodafone, the requirements and goals that needed to be reflected on the COMEX event were evident to us.
Vodafone is one of the pioneers in the Telecommunications industry and ever since its start in 1985, Vodafone as a brand has always brought the best to the table and offered sustainability to its customers using cutting-edge technologies. The key objective behind the Comex event was to connect more than 3 billion people with smartphones by 2030. This is what Vodafone truly wanted to illustrate through the six rooms in the Comex event adorned with technology.

The challenge that we come across when creating something impeccable is what gives life to the creation. One major challenge we had to conquest while crafting the six futuristic rooms was the deadline we were given. We had to complete the whole design, content, development, testing, and setup required for all six rooms and a virtual platform in a matter of 2 weeks.
But at Ortmor, we believe that challenges are the cradle for growth and talent, this gave us the motivation to complete the whole process within time and set up the project in just two days. In our stride to complete the challenge within the given time, we come across several obstacles like last-minute content changes, traveling for logistical reasons, and limited technical testing times. But as a team, we effectively surpassed all the barriers and flaunted our success like true warriors.

The whole setup of Vodafone at the Comex event took about two days to complete. Setting up six futuristic rooms embellished with technology definitely requires a good amount of time to ensure perfection. And that's exactly what we lacked in this project. Still, we were able to craft something unique, something that has the potential to touch the hearts of millions in that limited time.
Creating a virtual pathway that will unveil upon people from around the world is nothing but magic. A magic that will help more and more people to get mindful of the impeccable art presented by us using cutting-edge technologies and help them connect with futuristic technologies. With a user-friendly website, we were able to connect with audiences from all over the world and invite more people to witness the enchantment crafted by us.

The virtual platform helped us attract more technophiles and get a peek into what is awaiting them in the six rooms. By scanning a QR code placed on the entry point, the viewer can easily get access to the website and go through the detailed description given on the website to seize the concept better.
The first room in the Vodafone Comex Event 2022 was a Pre-Show Room created to set the right mood for the viewer and seize the attention of the audience. Just like its name suggests, an Immersive room offers a fully immersive experience for the user and helps them get closer to the current technology trends.
The room was mainly composed of four-walled mirrors and an LED Cube to project the content. The LED cube was placed in the middle of the room and whenever the content is projected on the cube it gets reflected through the four-walled mirror with supporting audio creating a fully immersive experience for the viewer.

The Iconic Speechmark is an interactive, expressive and dynamic space that connects Vodafone with the audience. The room basically has an LED screen displaying the logo of Vodafone. What makes this logo so special is that it will move according to the hand gesture of the audience as if a thousand stars are moving accordingly in the sky creating a enchanted experience for the user.
From its origin, Augmented Reality has always been a curiosity-building technology. The next room in the Vodafone Comex event showcased the progression of technology over the years and how it changed a great country like Oman.
The AR Portal was equipped with a room with plain black walls and a doorway in the middle. Upon looking through the doorway through a tablet, the viewer can see two eras of Oman, one being Oman in the 1980s and the other being Oman in its near future flourished with technological advancements.
The third room invokes curiosity in the audience by asking the question what if the internet had weight? The room invites the audience with a detailed video explaining more about the weight of the internet. Then the viewer is welcomed to an interactive arena where they can calculate the actual weight of the internet with a one-of-a-kind touch-and-throw experience.

The LED screen will display a virtual weighing machine and a touch screen showcasing different elements that make up the internet like texts, videos, blogs, Facebook, Twitter and so much more. The viewer can calculate the weight of the internet by adding the elements to the weighing machine through the touch and throw experience.
The weight of the internet is around one sediment and the room beautifully conveys the idea of how small it truly is by using a microscope through which the user can see the true size of one sediment and understand how small the weight of the internet actually is.
The infinity room impeccably conveyed the idea of infinite possibilities and ideas and unlocked the imagination of the audience. The room basically consists of four-walled mirrors and numerous strings of lights hanging from the ceiling. The lights then get reflected into the mirror creating an out-of-this-world experience for the audience.

The final room embellished with projection mapping technology put forwards a thought and a fact that each of us might be holding the power to go to the moon and beyond in our hands with a tiny e-sim by Vodafone.
The e-sim we have in our hands is believed to be more powerful than the computer used for the moon land project. This concept is effortlessly conveyed by showcasing a miniature replica of the computer used in the Appolo 11 project in 1969 and an e-sim by Vodafone. The content illustrating the sim might take you far beyond than the moon is presented around the replica and the sim using projection mapping technology.

The show crafted by Vodafone in the Comex event with the help of Ortmor truly unlocked a portal to the future and took each and every individual present in the event on an adventure of learning through a mesmerizing exhibition.
